It all began with her love of photography. Not only has Amanda Pulley, vagabond photographer, traveled to many exotic places, she has had the opportunity to live and immerse herself in many different cultures around the globe. Married to a golf course developer, the couple's unique occupations take them from place to place on a more regular basis than most. This is the inspiration behind her brand, vagabond. The life of a vagabond comes with blessings and challenges, but embracing them both Amanda brings to us her view of the world through her photography and brand, vagabond.

One of the challenges that Amanda first faced while traveling the world was holding a job. The once grade school teacher found that teaching didn't have the flexibility her life demanded. She decided to use her love of photography and some of her favorite images to build a business. After making her first buckle in February of 2007 it didn't take long before her fresh and intriguing belts caught the attention of the locals in Southern California. Soon she began selling her line to the finest boutiques around the country, and creates custom buckles for her growing clientele. Now living in Austin Texas she runs her budding business from home, but still spends much of her time traveling for photo shoots, art exhibits and trade shows.

Amanda's passion for culture, languages, and people has given her photography and buckles a unique perspective. Combining an eye for detail with the ability to create a mood, her photos lure the onlooker in with curiosity. Each piece has a story, and one that she feels we can all somehow relate to. Whether you are the local Austin musician, California surfer, New York businessman or just a fellow vagabond, there is a buckle for you.
