vagabond http://www.vagabondstyle.com/blog life & travels Mon, 23 Jan 2012 23:44:09 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.2.1 Hall Family http://www.vagabondstyle.com/blog/?p=424 http://www.vagabondstyle.com/blog/?p=424#comments Mon, 23 Jan 2012 22:24:54 +0000 Amanda http://www.vagabondstyle.com/blog/?p=424 This was one of those shoots where you know God was looking out for us!  It ended up being a last minute session, with some unexpected time opening up in my schedule.  We quickly sifted through some options for the location of the shoot and decided upon a spot where I had done several recent shoots.  The time of day wasn’t ideal but it was suppose to be a perfectly overcast day… well it started out that way.  By the time we arrived at the location the sun was bright, too high in the sky, and much to my surprise a landscaping crew had shown up and cut our magnificent Texas grass (or weeds) that were about a foot high.  Right where I wanted them!  Now we were left with hay all over the field and the (hard to edit out) men with weed eaters.  What to do????  Fortunately, I had also recently done a shoot close by, at a location which I thought would have some options for us.  So we moved quickly. Did I mention this family had triplet 5 year olds?

Thankfully, it was a blessing in disguise!  The new location was much easier to shoot with all of the natural shade and had a great background that was perfect for the look we wanted.  And no landscapers to edit out!!  Thank you Lord!  The kids were awesome.  So much fun and hung in there like troopers.  It was a great shoot!

I know, have mentioned I am a little behind :P ?  Emphasis on “a little”!  When I hire that personal assistant maybe things will get caught up.  (Lets keep the dream alive shall we?)  Anyway, back to my precious Indiana.  She is a cuddle bug and so so sweet.  Don’t worry, I will pinch her cheeks for you.

 

]]> http://www.vagabondstyle.com/blog/?feed=rss2&p=399 1 Welcome to Christmas in Austin… http://www.vagabondstyle.com/blog/?p=378 http://www.vagabondstyle.com/blog/?p=378#comments Sat, 24 Dec 2011 21:21:49 +0000 Amanda http://www.vagabondstyle.com/blog/?p=378 If you have ever been to Austin TX in December you may have seen the festive Christmas tradition of decorating nearly every cedar tree along 360 (and any other road for that matter).  These trees, that most people despise during the winter because of the infamous cedar fever, become a wonderful cheery sight all over town.   I got the pleasure of photographing this cute family on a day together with hot cocoa, tinsel, and sparkly ornaments to decorate a Christmas tree.  However, after much searching for the perfect cedar tree, we decided to take out our own tree to a safer location near their home where we didn’t have to worry about cars driving by.  The tree was donated to us to by the ever so generous “Montana Fresh” Christmas tree farm.  Thank you for spreading the Christmas Spirit “Montana Fresh!”  And thanks for a fun day of photographing McCambridge family!  Merry Christmas!
