New Orleans

This was my first trip to New Orleans and now I am wondering why I haven’t gone before. I loved it! The history, architecture, restaurants, and people were great! I have never eaten so well in my life. Save some money for dining if you go! It is well worth it.
When we first arrived and found our hotel I was a little bummed it wasn’t the Ritz Carlton, but it actually ended up being a pretty cool old hotel in the Warehouse District. The location was perfect. However, the continental breakfast was less than I had hoped for. That next morning I was STARVING, and went out to find something to eat. I didn’t have to go far before I found “Mothers”. Little did I know that I found a famous local spot, and I soon realized why. It was AWESOME! And really cheap! The best part was, it was not even a block from my little hotel, so needless to say I ate there several mornings!
Most of the pictures are architectural, I wish I knew all the history to pass along. If you make it to this interesting city, go on the carriage ride through the french quarter and check out the aquarium! This advise was passed along to me by a local restaurant owner, and I am glad I took it! I also recommend The Ambassador hotel for a quaint and affordable place to stay, the “US Prime” restaurant and steak house (awesome cheese cake and the best crab cakes), and for some incredible Sicilian food Leonardo Trattoria.
